I am beyond sad – one of our own – Maryellen Cano – or as Doc named her Biscuit (because he always said she was too skinny and she needed to eat a Biscuit!) – was the girlfriend found dead in Marietta last night. We all went to see one of her fights one night at Wild Bill’s. Her nickname at her training gym was “Melon” – a version of her real name. So one side of the ring was calling out “GO MELON!” and the other side of the ring was calling out “GO BISCUIT!” We realized afterwards that we were all yelling for the same fighter. It was a very fun and happy night for everyone. She will be missed.

  6. I rarely have time to get on this blog. then this message! I ust took a few minutes to get on it and I’m blown away! What happened??? I only new her as Biscuit. Did not know (Should have known) it was Doc’s nickname. Gives me chills.

  7. Didn’t end up doing Monday’s, still plan to make it up at some point, but in the end went with today’s easier workout because today’s lifting was so shoulder heavy.
