  3. “I don’t have any energy.” Come on, That Guy! Buck up!
I might not have kipped off the floor yesterday but nor did I bust my ass!

  4. Nice work today early birds!

  5. DD, thanks for the encouragement, setup, and scoring my FGB. You made the workout a bit more manageable. In addition, congratulations on your new FGB PR.
The 6am group should be renamed PR Central. I am pretty sure everyone set a PR on FGB. Way to work hard.

  6. Well mine wasn’t a PR…really…I scored 29 lower than my last time. On the other hand, I was doing the actual bar, 13 pounds heavier than the body bar, so I guess that’s not too bad.
Great job everyone at 6 AM. Also, I don’t think I would have made it in if I hadn’t gotten up at 5:15 and watched that inverted burpee video which was just a great start to the day.

  7. I hate FGB. Oh well, let’s go.
Just a reminder that today is Veterans Day. A day to honor all the men and women and their families that have ever made sacrifices for our country.
Austin, don’t feel bad. It took me nearly 3 minutes to teach the inverted burpee to one of my 12yo girls after she had been training and conditioning for an hour.
I have a feeling Captain Hicky is going to kick my a** today in FGB.
    Semper Fi, Ed.

  8. Austin – proud to be incompetent with you man…hey – at least we tried it! Personally, I’m gonna blame it on the length of my legs.

  9. ooohh. Something I can show Austin how to do. I can do them without using my hands. Austin I’ll help you out with these and you can help me with muscle ups.

  10. This is my one of my favorites. I am working on beating a 267 PR…however, I don’t know if I can make it in today. Maybe see ya tonight.

  11. Who’s Queen Fleen?

  12. She is from CrossFit Rx. One of the few people that I got to meet when I helped train over there.
She likes to rag on me.

  13. Crossfit’s gettin some good exposure: http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/11/first-

  14. Great job to the 12:30 class today! Miguel, great to meet your family!
PR for me today. Got 233 (I think) at the Challenge and today got 296, tying G-Dog on the board. Don’t expect to be on the board more than a few hours, but I am very happy to get over 260.
    Go Team Devil Dogs!
    VETERANS DAY
Veterans Day was originally held every November 11th and though it typically falls on this day, officially the holiday is now observed on the weekday that falls closest to November 11th every year. It was first incorporated by President Wilson as Armistice Day in 1919. Other countries today also still recognize November 11th as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in honor of the Armistice treaty which ended WWI.
It was in 1938 that Armistice Day was enacted as an official American holiday. But eventually after WWII, citizens felt that the veterans of all wars should be recognized, not just those of WWI. So in 1954 Congress changed the name from Armistice Day to Veterans Day. In America, the holiday now celebrates the nearly 3 million veterans with parades and ceremonies among other events.
I have been putting Medal of Honor citations on the board of Team Devil Dogs and I invite EVERYONE on BOTH teams to read these citations.
Hicky, thank you very much for being in New York and kicking my a** today. Definately saved my self-esteem. You are incredible when you do FGB!
    Semper Fi, Ed.

  15. I left out the word “not” in front of the word “kicking” on my last post.

  16. Carrie CFDahlonega says

Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to all of you who make a difference. We love you!

  18. Big Ed,
I showed Lauren the video this afternoon and she was most impressed with your inverse burpee skills. To use her words, “He is such a show-off.” 🙂
Go Team Devil Dogs! See you all tomorrow.

  19. Come on, That Guy. Tell the truth about who I am. Let’s see you could say: “She is from CFRX and…”
“She might just realize that I need someone to keep my tough guy facade in check every once in a while.”
OR “She might owe me for assisted ring dips.”
Wait! I know, “She was invited via the CFRX blog to check out the video and note my performance because I knew she would get a kick out of it.”
Thanks for sharing. The video and the blog!
    🙂

  23. Team Devil Dogs are still in the lead with 76 to 74. Good job, Jacob for getting us 3 points with a score of 313!

  24. Great job to Austin and Blake! I am actually very happy just to get my name on the board for FGB, even if it was for only a couple of hours. I really, really do not like this WOD.
Go Team Devil Dogs! Still the leaders!
    OOH-RAH!
    Semper Fi, Ed.
Jacob, you are the Man !
